Interrogation: The Border Between Play and Reality with Eric Pride

What did they know and when did they know it? “I’m sorry…I do not recall that information.” We have all heard such crap before, so let’s forget spin – get to the heart of the situation – and be all the better for it. Surrender, in the end, will be the choice of your own free will. This will be a demonstration.

Eric Pride heads, together with his wife Lady Christie, a structured lifestyle household in New York. The household celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2012. The primary focus of the household is on integrating healthy power-exchange dynamics into daily life and to provide guidance, training, and support for its individuals. He enjoys consensual S&M, blogs on different aspects of the lifestyle, and gives presentations on alternative lifestyle relationships, structured living, S&M, ritual and spirituality.

Eric has presented nationwide at numerous conferences, organizations and events. He is a founding member and an instructor at the Master/slave Development Center, an educational group for Masters and slaves. He is the founder of NYC Kinky Living (NYCKL) and the producer of the workshop series Creating and Living Positive Alternative Lifestyle Relationships. The Anatomy of Play Scenes: Preparation, Construction and Execution with Eric Pride

Play scenes can be long or short. They can be gentle or rough. They can be physical, incorporating elements of bondage, impact, pain, edge play; or they can be entirely physiological, involving just you and your play partner’s minds. Yes, play scenes can be just about anything your creativity can come up with, making each one a dynamic and unique experience. Using a series of shorter play scenes we show you how to prepare, build and structure fun and dynamic play scenes. From both the top and the bottom’s perspective, we address preparation such as safety, negotiation and intention setting; scene structure and execution – from how to open/close and how to perform aftercare – to creativity, improvisation and organic play.

Tying It All Together: Connecting Through Rope Bondage with Eric Pride

There are lots of great rope bondage classes out there teaching all sorts of fancy and beautiful ties, intricate knots, daunting suspension scenes, and detailed techniques. This isn’t one of them. Instead in this class, we explore rope bondage as a medium for dynamic scenes, play, and connection. We teach a few simple ties and basic bondage safety to serve as the foundation for building scenarios ranging from the playful and sensual to the strict and severe. We discuss and demonstrate how to use bondage for intimacy and sex, bondage for power-play, bondage for secret public thrills, bondage for fun role play, and bondage for decadent teasing and torture. At the heart of it all, it is about creating that special connection and sexy energy with your partners and using the inherent contrast in restraint to set your imaginations and passions free.

Note: We encourage you to bring your own rope for hands-on exploration (four pieces of rope, each approximately 25-35 foot long). This class is interactive and suitable for all experience levels

Beyond Fifty Shades of Grey: The Pleasure of Writing Erotica with Olivia Glass

If you’ve read erotica—or even a sexy scene in a novel—you know the charge that can come from the written word. But how do you find the inspiration for erotic writing—and what can you do to set it apart from everything else that’s already out there? You’ll learn how to write orgasms and pen dirty talk while avoiding common pitfalls. Whether you want a naughty story to share with your partner, or you have goals of publication, this class will jump-start your juices, creative and otherwise.

Olivia Glass is the author of Five Stages of Grief (Fleshbot Fiction, 2013). Her work has also appeared in Filament Magazine, Bend Over Magazine, The Paris Review Daily, and Best Women’s Erotica 2012, from Cleis Press.

Beyond the Basic Rubdown with Dr. Lynk

Thousands of people perform massage with and without training in a variety of settings. The BDSM scene is one place where massage can be taken to a variety of levels beyond the vanilla world’s. If you’re looking for a class that will describe different types of massage, this class is not for you. The objectives of this class are to educate you about how to perform effective massage without experiencing too much stress or fatigue and how to give the greatest benefit to the lucky recipient of your massage. Body mechanics; proper use of hands, elbows, and forearms; and important focus areas to reap the greatest benefits from massage will be discussed. When you leave this class, you will be able to give longer and more frequent massages that have people begging for more, and who doesn’t like begging?

Dr. Lynk is a creatively entertaining sadist with fetishes for knives, the workings of the human body, maintaining constant motion when teaching a class, and being the community human repairman. His classes are derived from his work and training as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). You can expect his classes to include a twist of pain (ok, maybe a little more than a twist), a dash of random facts, and a ton of information. Do not be alarmed if he takes off his shirt for no apparent reason or uses a variety of audience members and random objects as props during class. This is just how he operates. Dr. Lynk hopes that you will not only be entertained by his presentations and antics but will also come away with a great deal of knowledge. Of course, he would have never found the scene or started presenting without the influence of his incredible life partner, Ever.
