Knife Play: Sharp, Shiny, and Oh So Much Fun with Dr. Lynk

From sensual to sadistic, knives can become one of the essentials inside your toy bag. The close contact and primal nature of knives allows for almost an extension of yourself to the other person within a scene. Whether you are going for lighter sensation play, extreme intensity, or the ever-favorite mind fuck, knives are versatile tools for every player. Knife selection, cleaning, safety, and creative play will be discussed with plenty of time to experience and experiment with the myriad of possibilities that knives offer.

Dr. Lynk is a creatively entertaining sadist with fetishes for knives, the workings of the human body, maintaining constant motion when teaching a class, and being the community human repairman. His classes are derived from his work and training as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). You can expect his classes to include a twist of pain (ok, maybe a little more than a twist), a dash of random facts, and a ton of information. Do not be alarmed if he takes off his shirt for no apparent reason or uses a variety of audience members and random objects as props during class. This is just how he operates. Dr. Lynk hopes that you will not only be entertained by his presentations and antics but will also come away with a great deal of knowledge. Of course, he would have never found the scene or started presenting without the influence of his incredible life partner, Ever.

Erotic Hypnosis In and Out of the Bedroom: The Basics with Bryan Cassidy

Pleasure is all in your mind. Bryan will review the ins and outs of using hypnosis to stimulate, tease, excite, and yes, even produce full-blown, genuine, mind-melting orgasms in the bedroom AND learn ways to safely and effectively transform your willing, committed partner into your willing, committed, hypnotically obedient partner outside the bedroom.  Whatever interest or experience level you have with erotic hypnosis, this class will open new doors.

Fitness, Body Love, and Sexercise with Timaree

Everybody needs regular exercise to be healthy and feel great in their bodies. For folks who have ever felt uncomfortable in their own skin, getting your gym on might seem less than fun. We’re also flooded with images of what bodies are “good enough” and “sexy” and worth loving, but short on ways to find real body love.  Discovering a fun fitness and wellness routine that works for you can mean finding that fulfilling mind-body connection and a healthier body image.
Learn about the fundamentals of exercise science (from cardiovascular endurance, strength, toning, and flexibility) and how to design a workout that you’ll love. If you love it, you’ll stick to it, so that you can move towards your goals. And whatever those goals may be, we’ll keep the emphasis on loving your body for what it does for you, not just its appearance.  We’ll also go over the interaction between fitness/wellness and sexuality and discuss what kinds of exercises can improve your sexual experience, including increased stamina, improved flexibility and a greater diversity of pleasurable positions. It’s all about the love in this workout!

Sexologist Timaree Schmit earned a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality Education from Widener University, the culmination of a lifelong search for rational, sex-positive, empirically-based knowledge about sexuality. She now works as an adjunct professor, guest lecturer, and consultant.

As a youngster she read voraciously about sexuality and became the Go-To sage for friends and acquaintances who had sex questions.  This hobby eventually translated into becoming a certified HIV Prevention Counselor, PersUNL Peer Sex Educator and Adjunct Professor in Human Sexuality. Her foray into the world of sex writing started in 2003 as a weekly columnist for the Daily Nebraskan and has continued as sex writer for the Barbershop Notebooks , Philly Gay Calendar and East Coast Adult News.

Sex with Timaree podcasts cover a range of topics and feature amazing, entertaining guests whose lives and professions touch on sexuality. And was named one of the Top Five Noteworthy Sexuality Podcasts on iTunes.

Gender Exploration: Getting Below the Skin with Screw Smart

ATTENTION: Unfortunately, this evening’s class had to be canceled due to low enrollment, but please be on the look out for more classes with ScrewSmart in the near future!

Gender and sex are often confused with one another. This confusion is reinforced by a world that concretely says pink is only for girls and blue is only for boys. That’s why we’re carving out two-hours to suspend the concrete and let gender fluidity flow where it may! Using interactive games and conversations, we will challenge classic gender measurement tools, explore the ways our gendered selves get built, and consider the ways we *want* to perform gender. Why talk about this stuff? Because the more we examine ourselves today, the truer we may be to ourselves tomorrow. This workshop is designed for everyone from those who have never questioned their gender to those who enjoy skipping through the ever-changing gender dandelion field.

ScrewSmart is a sex education collaborative formed to promote both individual and community sexual heath and satisfaction. Based in Philadelphia, it was founded in 2009 by three sex positive queer women who met while working towards human sexuality education masters. They came together with the goal of providing information and resources to a diverse adult audience.  ScrewSmart aims to facilitate a collective community dialogue that supports sexual exploration and health. They do this by providing educational workshops, hosting sex positive community events, and advocating freedom of expression for sexual minorities.  ScrewSmart works to build spaces where they can share our love for each other as friends and professionals while inspiring others to be engaged and informed sexual adventurers!
