Wednesday March 16th, 6-8pm – Devilish Details on How to Write Salacious Stories with Sascha

With the success of so many huge novels coming out in erotica, the craft thereof, creation and business are all things authors and readers strive to understand. Throw in Amazon, SEO and Google, and it gets even more confusing. What sells?  What’s taboo?  How far can you push the boundaries?  We’ll talk about what makes a story erotic, and how sex revolves around the context of genre crossing, detailing the sex scenes and bringing out your inner muse to play in order to get the words on the page, plus a brief exploration of the business aspect of things so authors wishing to jump in either through self publishing or go the traditional route (including E-books) have more information.

Sascha, who was proclaimed by the publishing industry as The Gentleman Playboy of Romance, started writing seventeen years ago. His erotic romances have been listed under Night Owl Romance’s and Road to Romance’s Recommended read lists, and he’s been nominated for a CAPA by The Romance Studio.  Recently, Torn to Pieces was a USA TODAY Recommended Read.

Sascha is a trained and experienced public speaker, and enjoys giving talks and teaching, particularly on aspects of romance, erotic romance, and writing. He was the former host of The Unnamed Romance Show on Radio Dentata, and is fond of doing guest spots and interviews, on both traditional radio and podcasts. Sascha writes for Assent Publishing, Red Sage, Sizzler Editions, Totally Bound, and Decadent Publishing. Find him at

DATE & TIME TBA – Dispatch from the Frontlines: The Latest About Sex Toys
and Accessories with Caitlin Murphy

The adult industry is constantly changing, and it can be difficultcaitlin to keep up with: are toxic sex toys still a thing? I can’t find any good information about why I should avoid certain lube ingredients! Someone told me silicone lube melts condoms?? There is a lot of hearsay and what I like to call Sex Educator Telephone: since there isn’t much solid information and research out there, we often rely on educated guesses and the word of other professionals and sex geeks we trust, or the people manufacturing the products. This has lead to a lot of misinformation going without fact checking (since fact checking is difficult to do) – and being spread around like wildfire. I’ve gone and found as much reputable information from all corners of the industry and talked with the people trying to dig into the answer: bloggers, sex educators, and retailers doing the dirty work, so you don’t have to. Great for professionals – sexuality educators, medical professionals, sex workers – and the curious alike, whether you want to inform yourself for your work or your next purchase.

Caitlin Murphy is a sexuality professional, writer, consultant and occasional visual artist currently residing in Philadelphia, PA, when they’re not traveling. Among other honors, they were once referred to as a Level 5 Glitter Elemental. When they’re not writing or teaching about sex toys, Caitlin can generally be found with their plants – #PlantParenthood – as well as at and @sex_ational.

Friday, May 6th, 7:30-9pm – Queer Open Relationship/Polyamorous Discussion Group

This Discussion Group – facilitated by Lenore Jefford, LPC and Lisa Kaye, CMT – is designed for anyone who identifies as Queer (for our purposes Gay, Lesbian, Bi or Trans) who is interested in or currently in an Open relationship or Poly configuration. We created this discussion forum specifically for Queer folks (GLBTQI) as a safe space to learn more about Open relationships and/or Poly living. The Open Relationship or Poly meet-ups and events in Philadelphia are mostly heteronormative and, although, not unwelcoming or exclusive, seem to miss or misunderstand the specific needs of Queer identified folks. We hope to facilitate questions and create an open arena for discussion so folks considering this lifestyle may benefit from the experience of those currently living it. Likewise, we hope this discussion group may provide a community of like minded folks to support and encourage one another in this unique journey. Admission is donation-based

Lenore Jefford is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Mt. Airy for the last 9 years. She recently completed the Sex Therapy Certification at Council for Relationships in Center City. She specializes in LGBTQI cases in her practice, including couples work and has extensive experience with treating all types of trauma. Lisa Kaye is a Licensed Massage Therapist in PA. She has been in private practice for 20 years. She specializes in Myofacial Release, a deep tissue modality. Lenore and Lisa have been together for 12 years.
